Facebook Dynamics & 10 Basics You Should Know

While managing & planning strategies for a fan-page it is necessary to have the understanding of the dynamics of ‘Why users like a particular post’ or ‘Why certain posts have better engagement while others don’t’ or ‘At what time the page had the maximum interaction rate’.

3 Dynamics that you should know about Fanpages

(Note: You should also consider having a look at our (Social Media Measurement Framework)
1. Affinity : Determined by the amount of interaction between any two given Facebook users. The more you interact with a fan, the more likely your posts will show up in that fan’s newsfeed.

2. Weight : Refers to the type of post. A share, for example, carries more weight than a comment, a comment is more valuable than a Like, and a Like ‘weighs’ more than a click on the post.

3. Time Decay : Refers to the post timeliness. Just like any piece of news, the older it becomes, the less relevant and important it is, and thus lesser are the chances of it appearing in newsfeeds.

Relate each picture with your services to solve the dual purpose of making it visually attractive & selling your services.

3. Always include contests

Any contest launched should have clear role definition. Make prizes real or virtual but always remember to include them.

4. Try and be Funny

It’s okay to be humorous at times and crack a silly joke or two.

5. Put across your employees online

Show your corporate culture, it helps to strengthen the connect with the audience.

Make sure your posts fall at the right time, with the known or researched demographics. Keep a track of the hours of the day & hours of the time when your post generates maximum impressions.

8. Frequency Note

Half life of your post is in the 3 hours, from when it has been alive. So push and post new update once you see the interest of your audience weening off from the current update. Remember to give the maximum exposure time to a post so as you harness psoitive sentiments around it.

9. Discuss current events from the business view & Ask questions to keep people involved.

Discussing events shows your audience about your connection with the current world & recent happenings. ‘Where’, ‘When’ & ‘Should?’ makes people positively engage with your brand. ‘Why’ is the least connecting word. Avoid it.

10. Make it a mixed bag of happiness

Mix & match your content to directly link with people. Use : Photos of happy customers, case studies, Photos of employees, humorous jokes and images, Poll your audience for fun or research, Ask fans to fill in the caption of a photo, Post new product tips & Run a contest.

Make a note of these sure shot pointers & we are sure your page will have the bling factor. Best of Luck.
